An auction of personal items and music gear belonging to Avicii has raised over $700,000 for The Tim Bergling Foundation, a mental health charity set up in the late DJ’s name. The auction, held on October 1st, featured 267 of the artist’s belongings, with bids placed from over 40 countries.

Among the top-selling items were Avicii’s Martin Custom X Series acoustic guitar, which fetched 280,000 SEK (around $25,500 USD), as well as a 2015 Fender Telecaster that sold for 240,000 SEK ($22,000 USD). Aditionally, other notable sales included his personal DJ setup, which sold for over $11,000, and a pair of Sennheiser headphones that went for 80,000 SEK ($7,000 USD).

The total funds raised amounted to approximately 7,732,805 SEK, equivalent to about $700,000 USD. All proceeds will go to The Tim Bergling Foundation, which focuses on mental health and suicide prevention among young people. Stefan Rudels, the acting director of the foundation, expressed gratitude for the outcome, saying the funds will help further their work in mental health.

Cecilia Gave, CEO of Stockholms Auktionsverk, also celebrated the auction’s success, noting how it attracted a younger audience, many of whom placed their first auction bids during the event. The auction, she said, reaffirmed the demand for unique collections and the lasting impact of the legacy of Avicii.
