With the release of her brand-new single, “BADBOI” (with Pat Lok), BRUX extends an invitation inside her vast universe.

The explosive club track, “BADBOI,” has a seductive vocal chop, analog synths, and a gritty drumline that are reminiscent of early Ed Banger works. You may be sure that the dramatic song will stand out on your summer playlists.

Badboi is a lively club track that was made with my good friend and collaborator Pat Lok (Kitsunè, Fools Gold). This track was inspired by early Edbanger releases and features a cutup vocal & analog synths riding over massive distorted drums. It’s mixed by Grammy Award winning legend Ariel Borujow who has roots in Hip Hop & Rap working closely with P Diddy & Notorious B.I.G.

In the bleak darkness of covid I experimented for the first time creating several raw music loops from analog synths. I showed BRUX one of these climbing arp melodies and she loved it, which eventually inspired the demo that became Badboi. This record is pure raw energy and chaos, a song for a time where many people have lost their way and need to express their emotions uninhibited. If metal was a dance tune it would be this.
