Scheduled for a worldwide premiere on February 2nd, 2024, ‘Return To Planet Underground’ marks Gideon Homes’ impressive directional debut. Drawing inspiration from celebrated cinematic masterpieces such as ‘Trainspotting,’ ‘Berlin Calling,’ and ‘Human Traffic,’ Homes deftly incorporates the influences of these renowned works into his creation, skillfully weaving together a tapestry of distinctive stylistic elements and unconventional narratives that set the project apart in the contemporary landscape of filmmaking.

The film unfolds against the backdrop of techno music, offering audiences a thrilling ride through the highs and lows of the human experience. The narrative centers on the story of a former underground techno DJ as he works at a highly-respected law firm, only to then find himself again in moral gray areas. The protagonist then must confront his past while glimpsing an uncertain future.

According to the director’s notes, “The concept of this movie was to create a film with an underground feeling at its core, aiming to elaborate on what constitutes “underground,” all within the framework of electronic music.”
