Sam WOLFE and UMEK release a new collaborative single ‘Aktivate’, via 1605, following their previous collab ‘Mind of One’.

In the music industry, some musicians tend to collaborate on more than one occasion because it worked the first time. Sam WOLFE and UMEK appear to be two of those musicians because they released their second collab together just recently. WOLFE and UMEK dropped their collab, ‘Mind of One‘, in May of this year and apparently were eager for more. Now, back on UMEK’s imprint 1605, the DJs got back in the studio and pumped out another rave-ready track.

Aktivate‘, the ending result, feels like the perfect track to play at an LSD rave, given its rather acidic vibe. Stabbing basslines, rattling percussion, and acidic synths that occasionally feel like sirens at certain points emphasize and drive these points. At the same time, ‘Aktivate’ feels like it could also work as the villain song for a good sci-fi movie. Vocals on the track come across feeling like evil or corrupt A.I. with the lyrics feeling like its programmed mantra. Overall, the track makes for an interesting case of dual scenarios, perfect in both ways for either fascinatingly interesting situation.

Sam WOLFE and UMEK go two for two in the collaboration game, providing another tremendously spectacular track for their audiences. Hopefully, if all goes well, the two can make a third collab that tops these two.
