Sascha Trimpe chats about his musical path, creativity and future plans.

Sascha Trimpe, a deejay and producer, takes the masses with his music into
the world of progressive melodic techno.

Sascha was born in “Lohne” in Lower Saxony and developed a love for music
quite early. He has always been interested in the whole background of a track.
Therefore, one day he began to initiate everything to teach himself how to
produce. Sascha had one problem though, he never learned to read music, but
that didn’t stop him from realizing his dream.
When he got into deejaying through friends, the combination was complete.

Sascha was not long in coming and his first tracks and sets were ready.
However, these were initially intended only for friends and family. It was
always important to him that he learns at the beginning through criticism
from his closest circle and thereby develops further.

After his first stay in Ibiza, it happened and Sascha found his love in the
melodic house and techno genre.
His previous deep-house-heavy sound has now changed to techno with
melodic and progressive accents.

Then everything went quite fast and various EP’s of him placed themselves
directly after release in various charts.
Through this “excellent work” on his own productions, as some big successful
artists have described it, he got great encouragement and support.

His tracks were listened to in 82 different countries and streamed several
thousand times in 2021 alone

Hello Sascha, thank you for being with us! How are you?

I am fine, thank you.
I hope you guys are doing well too.

One of our favorite releases last year was your remix of “Rubrum” on the Revelation label. Can you tell us how you came to this remix and what your production environment is like?

Yeah, sure I can tell you that.
I released an EP with Mila Journèe and Main Leaf on Revelation in September 2020. Since then I’m in good contact with Andrea del Grosso (artist of AquAdro & founder of Revelation Records) and then he just asked me if I would like to remix it.
When I listened to the original version of Roberto Aluigi, it was quickly clear.

“Yeah. let’s do it.”

However, at that time I was very busy with other projects and had no real-time.
But Roberto and also Andrea were so kind and moved the release a little bit back so that I can be there.

Do you have many synthesizers or plugins that you use?

Oh yes. I work with both variants but own and use more plugins than synthesizers.

What inspired you to make music?

Inspired in the sense of not really what but I’ve always been mega interested in how you can transform your own feelings into music to grab other people and bring a smile to the face.

How many hours do you spend in your studio?

It’s not really countable but it’s a lot.
I would say on average two hours per day.

Producing music these days is easy, but difficult at the same time. How do you choose what to release?

That’s a very good question.
It’s a difficult choice for an artist what exactly to release but I always decide from my gut if the track is ready now or if it needs more time.

What do you think is the most important thing as an artist?

First of all “patience”, then I would say “determination” and last but not least “faith”.
This triple combination is unbeatable.

What are your 3 best things in life besides music?

Family and friends, I count as one point.
Then I would say good food and a little sport to compensate.

If you could collaborate with one musician, who would it be?

I could list a few names now but if I had to pick and choose it would definitely be Kevin de Vries.

“So Kevin if you’re reading this please get back to me.”

What are your plans for 2022? Will there be any gigs?

Oh, there are a lot of things on the agenda but because of gigs unfortunately everything is Corona-related with a big question mark in front of it.
That’s why I can’t really tell you anything about gigs this year but I’ll let you know if anything changes.

But what I can tell you is that there will be new music from me soon.
There will be an EP released soon on Techno Tehran, but it is not yet clear exactly how many tracks there will be.
It will be hot and melodic.

Soooo… Stay tuned guys and thanks for the interview House Nest.
