With a carefully chosen selection of Ableton Live’s drum kits, melodic instruments, and synth sounds, Note provides a variety of musical beginning places. By taking recordings of their surroundings and putting them into the sampler instruments in Note, musicians can also construct their own sound palette.

Note invites you to ‘experiment around’ with the program by utilizing its synthesizer sounds, drum kits, and melodic instruments. By recording actual noises and field recordings, users can also construct a ‘sound palette.’

Ableton said that while the app is currently only accessible for iOS, “we’ll be paying careful attention to how the music-making app space continues to grow” with reference to launching on Android, after announcing the debut on social media this morning.
